Kenyan musician Harmonize has revealed the shocking reason behind his departure from Wasafi Media, a label owned by Diamond Platnumz.

According to Harmonize, he was asked to pay KSh 22.5 million (approximately 500 million Tanzanian shillings) to leave the label.

Harmonize has stated that he has paid the amount, but is still being held accountable for the debt and has not completed paying it off.

"I have paid the amount, but I am still being held accountable and I have not completed paying it off, but I am making progress," Harmonize said in an interview.

Harmonize also revealed that he was forced to sell two of his homes to pay off the debt.

He further stated that his relationship with the leaders of Wasafi Media is not good, citing that they did not attend his wedding.

Harmonize also mentioned that he was forced to give up the ownership of his songs and the name "Harmonize," which was given to him when he joined the label.

He stated that he will only be allowed to use the name and songs after he has fully paid off the debt.
