On Thursday, Safaricom PLC announced the appointment of Peter Ndegwa as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective [insert date].
Ndegwa has a career spanning 25 years in finance services and fast-moving consumer goods.
He spent eight years at East Africa Breweries Limited (EABL) in management-level roles, where he developed the popular Senator beer.
During his tenure at EABL, the company produced the affordable lager brand, which proved to be a remarkable success, featured in the Harvard Business Review.
Ndegwa held various positions at EABL, including Group Chief Finance Officer (CFO), Group Strategy Director, Sales Director, and Executive Director on the EABL Board.
He will bring his expertise to Safaricom, a leading telecommunications company in Kenya.
