On October 24, 2019, police arrested a University of Nairobi lecturer in connection with the decomposing body of her 13-year-old son found at their home in South B, Nairobi.

The body was discovered wrapped in a blanket inside the house in Kifaru Estate, South B, after neighbors complained about the stench emanating from the house.

According to reports, the lecturer, Ann Khahugan, initially told police that her son had fallen in the house and that her religious beliefs prevented her from seeking medical intervention.

The suspect is currently being held at Industrial Area Police Station, and the body has been moved to the mortuary for further investigation.
