Former President Mwai Kibaki's retirement home in Nyeri county, valued at approximately KES 400 million, has been at the center of controversy in recent years.

According to reports, Mary Wambui, the former Othaya MP who was recently appointed as head of the National Employment Authority but had her appointment revoked, has moved into the palatial state residence in Mweiga, Nyeri county.

Photographs of the elegant house, which features a red-tiled roof, a helipad, 24/7 presidential security details, and state-of-the-art surveillance systems, have been published online.

However, due to the tight security measures in and around the state-owned home, our investigative sources were unable to obtain pictures of the interior.

It is worth noting that Mary Wambui's move into the state residence comes after a controversy surrounding her appointment as head of the National Employment Authority, which was later revoked following a petition filed by Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja.
