On October 24, 2019, detectives arrested Anna Hotannah Khahugan, a nursing lecturer at the University of Nairobi, in connection with the mysterious death of her 13-year-old son, Solomon Inyama.
According to police, the decomposing body of the minor was found wrapped in a blanket in their house in Kifaru Apartments, South B, where Ms. Anna was living with her son's remains.
Police estimated that the 13-year-old may have been dead for close to 7 days, based on the body's poor condition.
The caretaker of Ms. Anna's apartment had reported a foul smell emanating from the house, prompting him to peep through the window and identify the source before tipping the police.
Police Boss Philip Ndolo has assured the public that he will carry out investigations into the mysterious death.
