Odibets, a leading sports betting company in Kenya, has made a significant commitment to promoting safer gambling practices in the country. The company has announced that it will continue its kits sponsorship initiative, which aims to support local clubs across 47 counties in Kenya.
According to Aggrey Sayi, Odibets' country marketing manager, the company is delighted with the success of the first phase of its 35,000 kits initiative. Sayi stated that the new phase will build on the progress made so far and continue to promote healthier betting behavior among the youth.
Odibets has acknowledged the role that sports betting firms play in promoting responsible gambling practices. Sayi emphasized that the company abides by the rules and regulations set by the government through the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB) to promote responsible gambling.
Despite dropping its shirt sponsorship deal with Mathare United due to tax burdens, Odibets plans to reinvent its sponsorship strategy to benefit more local communities. Sayi revealed that the company's strategy is to find partners in all corners of the country to have a more direct impact.
Odibets' commitment to promoting safer gambling practices in Kenya is a positive step towards addressing the issue of problem gambling in the country.
