A 13-year-old boy's lifeless body was discovered in a University of Nairobi lecturer's house in Nairobi's South B estate, prompting the arrest of the suspect.
Nairobi area police boss Philip Ndolo confirmed that officers found the body in the living room at around 6pm on Wednesday.
"The suspect was in the house at the time. We are investigating the incident," said Mr Ndolo.
This is not the first time a gruesome murder has been reported in the same area. In September, a 73-year-old former Treasury employee and her 47-year-old daughter were found murdered in their house in Golden Gates.
