Published on October 24, 2019, a survey by McAfee listed Lupita Nyong'o as one of the most dangerous celebrities online.
The actress came in at number five, with interest in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker believed to have contributed to her ranking.
McAfee's list aimed to highlight the danger of clicking on suspicious links, with bad actors attaching malware and malicious links to famous names to dupe unsuspecting consumers.
"Criminals use deceptive websites to dupe unsuspecting consumers into accessing malicious files or content. It is essential that consumers learn to protect their digital lives from lurking cyber criminals by thinking twice before they click on suspicious links or download content," the company said in a statement.
Actress Alexis Bledel topped the list, followed by talk show host James Corden, Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, and actress Anna Kendrick.
