The Senate is set to vote on a report from the special committee that was probing the country boss’ impeachment, which followed a vote by 30 Taita Taveta MCAs on October 22, 2019.

Embu Senator Njeru Ndwiga is expected to table the committee’s report this afternoon for debate and a vote, before the House proceeds on a short break.

The county assembly laid out its case against Mr Samboja, and urged the Senate committee to find that there were sufficient grounds to necessitate the governor’s removal from office through an impeachment.
