Orange Fab and Seedstars Select 13 Promising Startups from Côte d'Ivoire ¶
On October 23, 2019, Orange Fab and Seedstars announced the selection of 13 promising startups from Côte d'Ivoire to showcase their innovations after several months of acceleration.
The selected startups will participate in the DOEN Land Restoration Prize, a competition aimed at finding and awarding the best tech-enabled solutions in the land restoration and land degradation space on the continent.
The African Development Bank (AFDB) will support the 'Job Creation Track,' which aims to train, support, promote, and award startups that show potential for creating sustainable jobs in Africa.
The selected startups include:
- Innoving: a business management application adapted to the African business environment.
- Afrik'apps: creating useful, fun, or artistic applications for businesses, including the AHIWAA application for real-time express deliveries.
- Smartphorce: providing reliable and fast solutions to the information needs of companies and institutions.
- Novate Media: offering services such as visual identity creation, graphic design, and modeling.
- Panely Cash: a money transfer system via SMS using two payment devices: mobile money and a bank card named PANELYS CASH VISA.
- Julaya: a mobile wallet enabling merchants to access financial services.
- Kamtar: rethinking mobility and logistics in Africa with digital solutions.
- Lifiled: offering access to Lighting, High-speed Internet, and educational content using a LED light bulb and Lifi (Light Fidelity) technology.
- Meditect: ensuring authenticity and traceability of medicines using blockchain and artificial intelligence in developing countries.
- Legafrik: a legal platform offering legal, tax, and accounting assistance to entrepreneurs.
- Easy2Facil: an on-demand dry cleaning and shoemaking service available 7 days a week, with pick-up and delivery at home or office in 48 hours.
- Ata Solution: a connected agriculture solution supporting farmers for improved productivity.
- Seekewa: a digital community platform reinventing food and agriculture by linking small farmers to financing in a very innovative way.
