On November 18-19, 2019, Dubai will host the fifth edition of the Global Business Forum Africa (GBF Africa), with 17 ministers, high-ranking government officials, and prominent business leaders from Africa in attendance.

Among the notable dignitaries are H.E. George Weah, President of Liberia, and H.E. Danny Faure, President of Seychelles, as well as 17 ministers from various African countries.

Organized by Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the theme 'Scale Up Africa', the forum aims to promote cross-border cooperation and support Africa's economic growth and development.

According to H.E. Hamad Buamim, President & CEO of Dubai Chamber, 'GBF Africa has served as a catalyst for UAE-Africa economic cooperation and business exchange. The upcoming edition will highlight new areas for African companies to collaborate with their UAE counterparts.'

Non-oil trade between Dubai and Africa has seen a steady increase, reaching $37.2 billion in 2018, reflecting the growing trade ties and business confidence between the two regions.

The forum will feature a comprehensive programme, including interactive sessions and panel discussions on key trends and technologies reshaping African economies.
