On October 23, 2019, Kenindia Assurance announced the appointment of Mr Bhawani Shanker Sharma as its new Managing Director, succeeding Mr Inderjeet Singh who had joined New India Assurance Company Limited as General Manager.
Mr Sharma, a holder of a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Bachelor of Law degree, brings with him extensive experience from his previous role at Oriental Insurance Company Limited in India.
Kenindia Assurance, one of the largest non-life insurance companies in Kenya, was established through a merger of Indian insurance companies operating in Kenya under a joint venture, with financial support from prominent local business leaders.
