On October 23, 2019, Bolt, a fast-growing transportation platform, marked a significant milestone in its expansion strategy by launching its cab and motorcycle hailing services in Naivasha, Nakuru, Kitale, and Eldoret.

This move brings Bolt's network to nine urban centers in the country, including Nairobi, Mombasa, Thika, Kisumu, Kakamega, Nakuru, Naivasha, Eldoret, and Kitale.

Residents in these towns have long been plagued by unreliable and overpriced cab-hailing services. Bolt's launch is a welcome development, offering a convenient and affordable alternative.

According to Ola Akinnusi, Country Manager, Bolt's growth in Kenya is driven by its expansion into new markets, which is fueled by customer demand for quality service. As the festive season approaches, Bolt aims to make movement more affordable, convenient, and safe across the North Rift region.

Bolt's mission is to make urban transportation more accessible and affordable for everyone, creating economic opportunities across its operational locations.

One of the key benefits of driving on Bolt is the lower commission rates compared to other platforms, ensuring higher earnings for individuals who choose to drive with the company.

Since its inception in 2013, Bolt has come a long way, with over 25 million users in over 30 countries globally. The company has also attracted significant investment from prominent investors, including Daimler, Didi Chuxing, Korelya Capital, and TransferWise co-founder Taavet Hinrikus.
