The Africa Women in Tech festival has kicked off in Nairobi, marking a significant milestone in the continent's technology growth agenda.

Running from October 23 to 25 at the Nairobi Garage, the Kenya event is part of a global festival that brings together women from Africa and the diaspora to network, share, and empower each other.

According to Sylvia Mukasa, Kenya Chapter Lead, the festival is a great opportunity for women in technology spaces in Africa to come together and improve Africa's technology growth agenda.

Women in Tech Africa, the organizers of the festival, have a membership of over 5,000 across 30 countries, including Germany, Ireland, Britain, and Cape Verde.

Last year, the organization received the UN Equals Award for Leadership in the women and technology space.
