Four Suspected Thugs Foiled in ATM Heist

On October 22, 2019, police in Ruiru thwarted an attempted ATM heist, arresting four suspected thieves.

According to reports, the suspects - Hillary Ng'eno, 37, from KK Security, Jared Nyang'au, 31, from G4S, Douglas Momanyi, 34, and Jacob Barasa, 43 - had planned to steal money from a Barclays Bank ATM.

Police recovered a mobile phone, a nylon bag, and a motorcycle allegedly used in the planned escape.

The four suspects are currently in custody as investigations continue.

Their arrest comes just days after two security guards and a civilian were arrested for their involvement in a similar ATM theft ring.
