Published on October 23, 2019, Odibets has unveiled plans to promote safer gambling in Kenya through their kits sponsorship initiative.
Speaking to media personalities, Odibets country marketing manager Aggrey Sayi revealed that the company's kits initiative is still ongoing, with a new phase set to build on the success of the first phase.
Odibets aims to distribute 35,000 kits across the country, with the goal of promoting healthy betting behavior among the youth.
Mr. Sayi acknowledged the role sports betting firms play in addressing gambling problems in the country, stating that Odibets abides by the rules and regulations from the government through the BCLB around responsible gambling.
Although the company dropped their shirt sponsorship deal with Mathare United due to tax burdens, Odibets plans to reinvent sponsorship to benefit more local communities.
“Gambling companies and the industry at large have a role to play in promoting healthy betting behavior among the youth,” Mr. Sayi stated.
