Published on October 23, 2019, France Football magazine released its prestigious Ballon d'Or shortlist, featuring 30 of the world's top footballers. Liverpool's impressive Champions League win has earned them a significant presence on the list, with seven of their players making the cut.
Among the Liverpool players nominated are Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Georginio Wijnaldum, and Alisson. They are joined by other top players from Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Barcelona, and more.
Notably, Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona's Lionel Messi, who have won the award 10 times between them, are included in the list. However, Messi's former teammate Neymar, who now plays for Paris St Germain, missed out on the nomination.
