On October 23, 2019, sports betting company Odibets unveiled plans to promote safer gambling among Kenyans through their kits sponsorship initiative.

Speaking to media personalities during the unveiling of their top winners, Odibets country marketing manager Aggrey Sayi revealed that the company's kits initiative is still on, despite dropping their shirt sponsorship deal with Mathare United due to tax burdens.

According to Sayi, the company's strategy is to find partners in all corners of the country to have a more direct impact and promote healthier betting behavior among the youth.

“Gambling companies and the industry at large have a role to play in promoting healthy betting behavior among the youth,” Sayi stated.

Odibets has already sponsored initiatives in areas like Vihiga, Rongai, and the expansive Rift Valley, and the company plans to reinvent sponsorship to benefit more local communities.
