McAfee's annual list of most dangerous celebrities to search for online has been released, with Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong'o ranking fifth.
According to the list, interest in 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' made Nyong'o officially dangerous, as the film's popularity led to a surge in searches that could expose fans to malicious websites and viruses.
The list, which has been released for the thirteenth year, highlights the danger of clicking on suspicious links and the importance of protecting digital lives from cybercriminals.
McAfee's chief consumer security evangelist, Gary Davis, warned that criminals use deceptive websites to dupe unsuspecting consumers into accessing malicious files or content.
"It is essential that consumers learn to protect their digital lives from lurking cybercriminals by thinking twice before they click on suspicious links or download content," Davis said.
Other celebrities who made the list include Alexis Bledel, James Corden, Sophie Turner, Anna Kendrick, Jimmy Fallon, Jackie Chan, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and Tessa Thompson.
Reality stars Kristen Cavallari and Kourtney Kardashian, who were in the top 10 last year, dropped to No. 214 and No. 222, respectively, indicating a decline in interest in reality stars.
