Cisco has made a significant move in its East Africa operations, appointing Sally Kimeu as the Country Leader and Regional Manager for Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Burundi, Djibouti, South Sudan, Somalia, and Eritrea.
Ms Kimeu will oversee the Cisco East Africa team, driving sales growth and market expansion while promoting the company's business values to customers and stakeholders.
With a strong background in sales and business management, Ms Kimeu brings valuable experience to her new role. Prior to her appointment, she served as Cisco's Strategic Business Manager for the United Nations in East and Southern Africa and Egypt. She also worked as an Enterprise Sales Manager for two ISP organizations and volunteered for the UN WFP Extended School Feeding Programme.
As Country Leader and Regional Manager, Ms Kimeu will also serve as a member of the Cisco Sub-Saharan leadership team.
According to a previous report, Cisco projects that cloud data center traffic in the Middle East and Africa will grow by 440% by 2020.
