Violence erupted at a youth football game in Athens on Tuesday, leaving at least six Bayern Munich supporters injured.

The UEFA Youth League game between Bayern Munich and Olympiakos was halted at the 84th minute after a group of around 80 hooded individuals stormed the pitch, attacking fans in the stands.

The incident occurred just hours before a Champions League game between the two teams at the Karaiskaki Stadium in Piraeus, where Olympiakos was trailing 4-0.

A security guard was also injured in the clashes, according to police officials, who added that no arrests had been made.

Olympiakos released a statement denying any involvement with the hooded individuals, saying, 'The intruders have nothing to do … whatsoever with the Olympiakos family.'
