Battle for Play-Offs Slots Takes Centre Stage in Kapsabet

Published on October 23, 2019, the battle for slots in the Kenya Volleyball Federation play-offs takes centre stage on Thursday and Friday at the Kapsabet showground in Nandi County.

Top four teams in both the men and women's leagues will proceed to the play-offs set for November 22-24 at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.

General Service Unit (GSU) and Kenya Prisons have one foot already in the last four, with the remaining slots up for grabs.

Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), and Equity Bank are locked in the chase for the two slots.

GSU and Kenya Prisons will face off in a highly anticipated match, with both teams still unbeaten in the league this season.

The match will determine bragging rights and top seeds status going into the play-offs.

Kenya Prisons, Kenya Pipeline, and KCB look set for the top three play-offs slots in the women's league, with only one slot up for grabs.

Kenya Prisons have 18 points from six matches, while Prisons Mombasa have eight points from four matches.

Kenya Prisons will face off against Kenya Army, Nairobi, and Vihiga County in the women's league.

The play-offs will feature a total of 12 teams, with the top four teams in each league proceeding to the title contest phase.

The teams will compete in a series of matches, with the winners advancing to the next round.

The play-offs will be held at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, from November 22-24.
