Stacy Michuki Crowned Miss Universe Kenya 2019 ¶
Stacy Michuki, the 18-year-old granddaughter of the late Kenyan politician and businessman John Michuki, was crowned Miss Universe Kenya 2019 on 20 October at Panari Hotel in Nairobi.
She beat 13 other contestants, including First Runner-Up Aggry Dion Okello, also known as Rue Baby, to take the coveted crown from outgoing Miss Universe Kenya Wabaiya Kariuki.
Stacy will represent Kenya at the Miss Universe 2019 pageant scheduled to take place on 19 December in Seoul, South Korea, where she will face 80 other beauties from across the world for the top honour.
Speaking after her win, Stacy said, "Being a model has been the best thing that has happened to me. It allows me to be someone I am not every day." She also thanked everyone who supports her journey and God for her win.
Stacy has a background in modelling, having been crowned ‘Face of Nairobi Top Teen Model’ in 2017 and first runner-up in the ‘Few’s Next Face Africa 2018’ in the following year.
