On Tuesday, 22 October 2019, a group of Kibra Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) supporters expressed their dissatisfaction with the party's officials, accusing them of corruption and inefficiency.
Francis Arema Akonya, a vocal supporter, criticized Imran Okoth, the party's parliamentary aspirant, saying he needed a spokesperson due to his poor public speaking skills.
Akonya claimed that many candidates were locked out of the ODM party Kibra primaries due to corrupt party officials who failed to execute their duties, resulting in missing names in the party register and voters being denied their right to vote.
The group threatened to meet ODM leader Raila Odinga to air out their grievances, stating that the party's secretariats were causing confusion in the ongoing Kibra campaigns.
