Cisco has announced the appointment of Sally Kimeu as Country Leader and Regional Manager for its East Africa operations, spanning 10 countries including Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Burundi, Djibouti, South Sudan, Somalia, and Eritrea. The appointment was made on October 22, 2019.
Sally Kimeu will lead the Cisco East Africa team, driving sales growth and market expansion while articulating Cisco's business value to customers, partners, employees, and stakeholders.
With over 12 years of experience at Cisco, Sally has held various roles, including Strategic Business Manager for the United Nations in East and Southern Africa, as well as Egypt. She has also worked as an Enterprise Sales Manager at a System Integrator and Relationship Manager for two ISP Organizations.
Before joining Cisco, Sally volunteered as a sub-contractor for the UN WFP Extended School Feeding programme, gaining valuable insights on the power of education through meal provision. She graduated from Moi University with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Strathmore University with a Management of Information Systems degree.
Clayton Naidoo, General Manager, Cisco Sub Saharan Africa, expressed his excitement about Sally's appointment, citing her passion for making an impact and driving transformation through digitization. Sally will serve as a member of the Cisco Sub Saharan leadership team.
