On October 22, 2019, Eliud Kipchoge, the world marathon record holder, took a bold step to protect his brand by filing a lawsuit against NRG Radio.

The lawsuit stems from NRG Radio's decision to rebrand as 'Kipchoge Radio' in an attempt to capitalize on Kipchoge's achievements and gain followers.

According to the lawsuit, NRG Radio used Kipchoge's name and brand to lure listeners and fans to their social media pages, with the promise of gifting him a BMW i8.

However, Kipchoge's lawyers argue that this was a ploy to guilt-trip listeners and fans into following NRG Radio's pages, and that the gift was neither needed nor asked for.

As a result, Kipchoge's lawyers have demanded that NRG Radio apologize publicly or face dire consequences.
