A pastor from Maili Sita area in Nakuru County has sparked outrage after refusing to share a meal with youths who were invited to his home.
According to reports, the pastor had been invited by the family of the deceased to lead a prayer service.
After the prayer service, the youths were invited to share a meal with the family, but the pastor allegedly refused, saying it was against the scriptures to share food with those who were not fasting.
"You know it's not right to get pasta while sitting with youths who are fasting and telling stories," the pastor was quoted as saying.
However, the youths who were invited to the meal were outraged by the pastor's decision, saying he should have encouraged them to change their ways instead of rejecting them.
"He should have preached to us and encouraged us to change our ways, not reject us," one of the youths was quoted as saying.
