On October 22, 2019, Tanzanian gospel artiste Rose Muhando made headlines for her decision to turn down offers from individuals in her management team.

Her career took a drastic turn for the worse with allegations of infidelity, abortion, and bleaching haunting her.

Speaking to a local radio station, Muhando expressed her desire to be independent and not a slave to anyone.

"I cannot walk with someone’s husband. I didn’t want to be a slave of, to date, that is my stance... Even though he created a scandal for me because I refused him. How many times have I been driven to the mountains at gunpoint?"

Muhando also claimed that her management took away everything she worked hard for after she refused to comply with their demands.

"I was sick, I went through problems. My management took away everything I had. There are things that I did not want to do and that was the start of all my problems."

She denied allegations of drug addiction, stating that she has never used drugs.

"I don’t even know how drugs look like. However, there is a big secret that I cannot say. I have never used drugs."

Despite the challenges she faced, Muhando is currently riding high with her new song ‘Walionicheka’ featuring Kenyan artiste Ringtone.
