On October 22, 2019, Pan-African Equipment Kenya Limited, a subsidiary of the Panafrican Equipment Group (“PEG”), officially opened its new offices in Nairobi, marking a significant milestone in the company's expansion plans in East Africa.

The new facility, which serves as the company's East Africa headquarters, is a testament to PEG's commitment to Kenya and its continued investment in support of its customers in the market.

According to Charles Field-Marsham, PEG Executive Chairman, the combined cost for the new facility is Ksh 500 million. Field-Marsham expressed optimism about Kenya's potential for significant infrastructure development, citing the country's ability to manage its resources correctly.

Scott McCaw, PEG Group Chief Executive Officer, also highlighted the company's focus on the extractive industries and power and energy markets. McCaw noted that Kenya and East Africa's efforts to increase power supply and grow its extractive market will drive the mid to long-term development of these sectors.

As part of its growth strategy, PEG has been investing Kshs 75 million annually in training and development of its personnel and customers. The upgraded Panafrican Training Facility in the new premises will further boost this initiative.

Since its inception in Kenya 22 years ago, PEG has grown from a single territory distributor of Komatsu construction equipment to a multi-territory (eight African countries), multi-line (three core brands) distributor. The company has directly and indirectly employed up to 400 people and recorded over four times turnover growth over the last ten years.
