Former Nyakach MP Daima Ochieng's family has been left worried by his deteriorating mental health. According to a close family member, Ochieng wakes up in the middle of the night, crying and calling out for his deceased relatives to come to his aid.
As a result, the family has sought divine intervention in Uganda, where Ochieng has been receiving prayers from Pastor Samuel Kakande. Ochieng, who served as MP between 2002 and 2007, has reportedly lost his multimillion-shilling property and businesses, leading to depression that is taking a toll on his life.
His wife, Goretty Auma, has also been affected by Ochieng's situation. Auma, who was once outgoing and sharp-dressing, is now a pale shadow of her former self. She was the one who came up with the idea of visiting Pastor Kakande in Uganda, taking Ochieng's portrait, clothes, and photos of his stalled projects.
On October 6, 2019, Ochieng and Auma visited Kakande Ministries in Uganda, where Ochieng confessed to his financial woes. He revealed that he had lost a palatial house valued at Sh20 million, a luxury car, and several trucks, and was now struggling with back pain.
“The prophesy that you gave there is true. I can confirm I lost a house; the house is about Sh 20 million. I had 10 trucks, I lost all of them. I lost a Prado. I lost everything and even now life has become a bit challenging,” Ochieng said.
