Granit Xhaka, Arsenal's captain, has emphasized the need for his team to show character following their disappointing 1-0 loss to Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on October 21.
The defeat marked Arsenal's fourth win in their last 17 away matches, raising concerns about their away form.
Sheffield United's Lys Mousset scored the only goal in the 30th minute, securing a crucial victory for the home team.
Speaking after the match, Xhaka expressed his disappointment and frustration, stating, "We have to stop talking about [the mental side of the game] and bulls like this." He later apologized for his choice of words.
Insisting that the team must win regardless of the location, Xhaka added, "I'm sorry to say that, but for me it's the same whether you play at home or away – you have to win and show big character and not look for the same excuse."
Arsenal currently occupies fifth place on the standings with 15 points, two behind fourth and third-placed Chelsea and Leicester.
The team will return to action on Thursday, October 24, at home against Vitoria in a Europa League group match.
