On October 22, 2019, Maina Kageni shared a remarkable story of how his family avoided succession battles after his father's death.
Speaking on Classic 105's morning show, Maina revealed that his father's will was the key to resolving their family's inheritance issues.
According to Maina, his father had left behind a will, which was entrusted to trustees after his death. This allowed Maina to inherit his father's properties when he turned 21.
However, Maina couldn't help but question his father's decision to leave the properties to trustees instead of his mother.
Co-host Mwalimu King'ang'i chimed in, sharing his own experience of inheriting only his mother from his father. He emphasized the importance of handling succession battles carefully, citing the Michuki, JM Kariuki, and Njenga Karume families as examples of the devastating effects of prolonged court battles.
