On Mashujaa Day, October 20, 2019, Nairobi County women representative Esther Passaris Muthoni celebrated her 55th birthday in style.
Passaris, born in 1964, marked the occasion with a special tribute to her parents, who she credits with supporting her throughout her life.
Sharing never-before-seen photos of her parents, Passaris revealed that she is part Greek, Dutch, and Kenyan, dispelling speculation about her ethnicity.
According to Passaris, her mother was born in Machakos, and her father, a Greek man, brought her into the world in Mombasa.
Passaris took to social media to express her gratitude to her parents, saying:
“55 years ago today, the love between a young handsome Greek man and a Kenyan Dutch woman brought me into this world. Never missing any milestones in my life and always there to support me in the face of my challenges and controversies, I celebrate my parents today for raising me the best that they could,”
Passaris' photo collage included a picture of herself as a toddler, giving her followers a glimpse into her childhood.
