Arsenal's top four hopes were dealt a significant blow after they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on October 21, 2019.
The match saw Lys Mousset score the only goal in the 30th minute, capitalizing on Arsenal's defensive blunder to find the back of the net.
Sheffield United's victory fired them to ninth on the Premier League log with 12 points, while Arsenal dropped out of the top four into fifth place with 15 points.
The Gunners started the match brightly, dominating the opening exchanges of the encounter as the home side struggled to settle in.
However, they wasted glorious goalscoring chances and had an early penalty appeal brushed off, before Nicolas Pepe failing to add a finishing touch to an Arsenal attack moments later.
Emery was forced to make tactical changes in the second-half of the match, with Dani Ceballos replacing Joe Willock at the break, before Alexander Lacazette coming on for Granit Xhaka.
However, the pair made no difference, with the hosts holding on to claim maximum points before their fans.
