On Monday, Nairobi City Stars secured a 2-1 win over Fortune Sacco at Hope Centre in Nairobi, maintaining their unbeaten record in the National Super League (NSL).

The win was sealed by a last-minute penalty from Noah Abich, a former Kenyan international defender.

David Gateri had opened the scoring for the hosts in the 55th minute, but Fortune levelled in the 76th minute.

The victory saw Nairobi City Stars move six points clear of second-placed Bidco United, who edged Shabana 2-1 at Thika Sub-county Stadium thanks to goals from Nelson Chieta and Henry Omollo.

Bidco United coach Anthony Akhulia said, "We played well against a side who also played well, but we still have to prepare well for the remaining matches."

Coast Stima were held to a 2-2 draw by visiting Kibera Black Stars at Mbaraki Sports Club in Mombasa, while Mount Kenya United settled for a 1-1 draw against Talanta at Camp Toyoyo.
