Kenyan singer Nyota Ndogo is on the verge of realizing her dream of becoming a landlord, having invested Ksh 10m in two-bedroom rental units in Kaloleni, Voi.
According to an interview with the Star's Word Is, Nyota has built five such houses and is almost done with the project, which has been a long and satisfying journey.
When asked how she managed to raise the funds for the investment, Nyota explained that she wanted to be financially stable and not live a lavish lifestyle, unlike many of her peers who crave for a life of luxury.
She revealed that her husband, Henning Nielsen, helped boost her investments to make the rentals a reality.
As she awaits the completion of the units, Nyota has advertised them online, inviting prospective tenants to apply.
She has so far invested Ksh 7m in the project, with the cost expected to reach Ksh 10m upon completion.
