On October 18, Conor McGregor, the UFC superstar, visited his local Crumlin Boxing Club in Ireland to raise funds for the Hope For Evie campaign. The campaign aims to provide treatment for one-year-old Evie, who suffers from a rare genetic disorder.

McGregor contributed £10,000 to the campaign, which has exceeded its initial target of £86,000 (€100,000). The funds will be used to cover the cost of Evie's treatment in the US.

Evie's parents discovered a doctor in the US who can help with her condition, but they needed to raise £51,500 (€60,000) for the trip in February. The funds were raised through various means, including a fundraising event at the Crumlin Boxing Club, where McGregor handed out autographed gloves, raising an additional £430 (€500).

Speaking to the Irish Mirror, Boxing coach Bra Brady said, "We got €500 for the gloves and being a bit cheeky I asked if he would match whatever we made and he said it was no problem."

Evie's mum, Emma Nolan, expressed her gratitude to McGregor and others who contributed to the fundraising effort, saying, "It was not by any means a publicity stunt from McGregor as he did not even want to be mentioned, we can’t thank Conor enough for helping our little girl."
