Nzoia Sugar FC has fired a warning shot to potential title contenders, vowing to win their matches and move to the top of the Kenyan Premier League.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, Nzoia Sugar tactician Collins Omondi expressed confidence in his team's abilities, stating, 'At the moment we are focussed on winning matches both at home and away, no room for error, we want to move to the top, and the boys are very promising.'
The Sudi-based outfit produced a highlight match in round six of the Kenyan Premier League at the weekend, beating Batoto ba Mungu 2-1 in a thrilling encounter at Sudi Stadium.
On October 20, 2019, Nzoia Sugar secured a crucial victory, with second-half goals from Leonard Kasembili and Selasie Otieno silencing Batoto ba Mungu and propelling Nzoia to 12th position on the log with seven points from six matches.
Meanwhile, Sofapaka tactician Divaldo Alves praised Nzoia for their superb performance, adding that they deserved to win.
Alves has promised fans an improved performance in yet another weekend fixture when they host AFC Leopards, stating, 'The league has gained momentum and we need to keep fighting, I want to assure fans that we are going to perform well against Ingwe at home.'
