On October 21, 2019, Tanzanian singer Harmonize made headlines for his philanthropic efforts, launching a food program that offers free meals to struggling families.
Harmonize's initiative, inspired by Jesus' teachings in Matthew 25:35-40, aims to provide for those in need, just as Christ would have done.
Accompanied by Ilala District Commissioner Sophia Mjema, Harmonize flagged off a food truck branded 'Konde Boy Mgahawa' that will supply free food for the next six months.
The singer took to social media to express his joy at finally actualizing his dream and thanked the area DC and the media for their support.
Harmonize's food truck will distribute free food only on Sundays, but the frequency may increase with the help of sponsors.
The food was handed out to the gathered crowd in small bags labeled 'Konde Boy Mgahawa.'
Harmonize's initiative has garnered attention from his fans, who have praised his humble nature.
"I'm grateful to have finally actualized my dream," Harmonize said in a statement.
