Procrastination is a habit that plagues even the best of us, but understanding its effects can be a powerful motivator. When we procrastinate, we attract a delay in results, and the universe responds by delivering outcomes much later than we desire.
Our mindset plays a significant role in procrastination. We often view tasks or chores as unenjoyable, which holds us back from achieving the results they could bring. Successful people, on the other hand, have formed the habit of doing the things that others may not like to do.
Goals can be categorized into three types: 'A' goals, which are regular tasks and chores; 'B' goals, which require a bit more effort to achieve; and 'C' goals, or dreams, which are often considered fantasies due to their perceived inaccessibility. However, it's the 'C' goals that have the potential to move us significantly towards our true desires.
When creating goals, it's essential to consider their purpose – to grow and make good use of our infinite potential. If the goal doesn't embody growth as a benefit of achievement, the motivation to achieve it may not be strong enough. By setting big, hairy, audacious goals, we can move towards massive actions that produce the results we want.
