On October 20, 2019, Kenya Police and Strathmore University's Scorpions celebrated their wins in the Shaban Yusuf Memorial Hockey tournament.

Kenya Police, who last won the title in 2016, defeated United States International University of Africa (USIU-A) 3-2 in a penalty shootout after the match ended in a 0-0 draw in regular time.

Strathmore University's Scorpions, on the other hand, secured a 1-0 win over Technical University of Kenya (TUK) at the Mombasa Sports Club.

Strathmore University's coach Meshack Senge expressed hope that the win would serve as a stepping stone for their upcoming match against USIU-A in the Kenya Hockey Union League.

The Shaban Yusuf Memorial Hockey tournament was previously held to honor the late Agnelo De Souza (SANA), but this year, it celebrated the life of Shaban Yusuf.
