On October 20, 2019, South Africa's rugby team, the Blitzbokke, delivered a clinical performance at the Safari Sevens, stunning Kenya's Shujaa team 19-5 at the RFUEA Grounds in Nairobi.
The match remained scoreless for almost four minutes, with South Africa dominating possession. Davids Selvyn eventually kicked to speedster Siviwe Soyizwapi, who scored in the corner flag, with Cecil Afrika converting to hand the visitors a 7-point advantage.
Kenya's captain, Andrew Amonde, responded with a try, but Daniel Taabu missed the conversion, leaving South Africa leading 7-5 at the interval.
In the second half, Davids turned from scorer to provider, capitalizing on a turnover for a 12-5 score, with Afrika adding the extras for a 14-5 lead.
Another patient build-up by the Blitzbokke left the Kenyan defense scrambling, and Soyizwapi scored his second of the match and South Africa's third for a 19-5 score.
Shujaa tried to salvage the match but time was not on their side as they were knocked out of the Main Cup contention, dropping to the third and fourth place.
