Esther Passaris, the Nairobi Women Representative, celebrated her 55th birthday on October 20, 2019, but not without a controversy surrounding her dressing sense.
As she took to social media to mark the occasion, a Kenyan Twitter user approached her with an unsavory sentiment, expressing displeasure in her dressing and advising her to dress according to her age.
"Happy Birthday. But now dress your age going forward. Those miniskirts and thigh-exposing outfits leave them to young girls. You are a mother," the Twitter user wrote.
However, Passaris was not one to be swayed by the unsavory sentiments, firing back with a classic response that left many in awe.
"I have earned the right to dress as I please at my age. You should grow up if you think you can advise someone older than you how to dress," she responded.
She went ahead to use the popular hashtag #mydressmychoice in her reply, a clear indication of her stance on the matter.
Passaris has not shied off from dressing attractively, and her recent strapless dress at Maranda High School alumni fundraising set Twitter abuzz with some men asking her out on a date.
