Emmanuel Weyusia, the brother of Mary Kilobi Atwoli, was laid to rest on October 9, 2019, at Mwiruti village in Bungoma county.

On the fateful night of his death, Emmanuel called Mary Kilobi and told her he had been shot. He feared for his life, saying, 'He told me that he could not go out because he feared that the thugs were still around. I told him that I was sending help and I would be there in a few minutes,' Mary Kilobi said.

Despite the police commander's assurance that help was on the way, Emmanuel's condition worsened, and he stopped talking and started crying. When Mary Kilobi arrived at the hospital, she found her brother had passed away.

Friends and colleagues of Emmanuel Weyusia have been paying their respects on social media, eulogizing him as a great man. They are still coming to terms with his untimely death.
