US Praises Kenya for Being Africa's Most Generous Nation

Kenya has been recognized as the most generous nation in Africa, according to the World Giving Index released by the Charities Aid Foundation in October 2019.

The US Embassy in Nairobi commended Kenya for this achievement, stating, "Hongera Kenya for being the most generous country in Africa! Kenya is moving forward as a benefactor rather than a beneficiary."

The research examined three aspects of giving behaviors: helping a stranger, donating money, and volunteering. Kenya's ranking as the most generous nation in Africa is a testament to the country's commitment to giving and helping others. The US, New Zealand, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Sri Lanka were also ranked among the most generous countries in the world.
