Kenya Defence Forces Recruitment Scam: Residents Warned of Fraudulent Cons

Published on October 19, 2019, residents in Kenya have been cautioned against falling prey to scammers posing as recruiters for the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF). Kiriita Ward Representative Justus Gaita expressed regret that some residents have already been conned.

The Kenya Defence Forces recently announced a recruitment drive from October 28 to November 7, but warned that bribery and other corrupt activities are against the law. Those found with fake or falsified documents or engaging in corrupt activities will be arrested and prosecuted.

Residents are advised to be wary of individuals claiming to assist with the recruitment process, as they may be scammers.
