On Wednesday, Betika unveiled its biggest initiative yet, dubbed 'BetikaNaCommunity', aimed at supporting community development and nurturing talent in local sports, arts, and culture.

The initiative, which will see the company spend millions of shillings, will focus on supporting local sports and clubs, individual sports and talent development, growth and diversification into new sports, and renovation of community centres and sports grounds.

Speaking at a press briefing, Betika's Commercial Head, Mr. John Mbatiah, reiterated the company's commitment to supporting local sports, arts, and culture. 'It gives us great joy to see our sports people getting a chance to showcase and grow their skills. Betika is the community and the community is Betika!' he said.

As part of the initiative, Betika will sponsor local community football tournaments across the country, reaching all 47 counties. The company will also work with the national government, local authorities, and sports personalities to help realize this dream.

Notably, this is not the first time Betika has invested in grassroots sports initiatives. The company has in the past invested heavily in grassroots football tournaments and sponsorships across various sports, including football, cricket, golf, motocross, rallying, and the Rhino Charge.

Additionally, Betika recently boosted the sponsorship for the upcoming Safari 7s and motocross racing at Masinga TT, and renewed its sponsorship deal with Sofapaka.

As part of its responsible betting initiatives, Betika also unveiled a free counselling service for gamblers with betting addiction, where customers can call toll-free to get counselling services and advice.
