October 19, 2019, marked a turning point in the life of Tanzanian gospel singer Rose Muhando. After facing a tumultuous period, she found solace in the company of positive individuals who helped her heal and rediscover her passion for music.
Reverend Lucy Natasha played a pivotal role in reintroducing Rose Muhando to the Kenyan music scene, and her efforts have been instrumental in bringing back the singer's spiritual jams that uplift and inspire.
Rose Muhando has finally found the strength to confront her demons and address the traumatic experiences she endured, including being made a sex slave. In a recent interview, she shared her harrowing story, saying:
"I never wanted to be a sex slave, I don't even want to think about it today. Even if they wanted to take my belongings, they decided to make me a scandal because I refused."
Her ordeal did not end there. Rose Muhando revealed that her life was endangered when shadowy figures pulled a gun on her and pressed it to her head, forcing her to make impossible choices.
"How many times have I been taken to the mountains, taken to the bush, and had a gun pressed to my head? I was told to agree to something I couldn't say, but I refused. I said I was ready to die, but I couldn't agree to be a slave, even for a minute!"
Rose Muhando's story is a testament to her resilience and determination to overcome adversity.
