Just a week later, on October 13, 2019, Brigid Kosgei broke the women's marathon world record in Chicago, Illinois, USA, with a time of 2:14:04.

These incredible achievements propelled Kenya to historic attention and glory, with the nation celebrating the remarkable feats of its talented athletes.
