Published on October 19, 2019, the sixth round of the Kenya National Rally Championship (KNRC) was set to be a thrilling contest between three top drivers: Baldev Chager, Carl 'Flash' Tundo, and African champion Manvir Baryan.

However, the race was cancelled at the last minute due to inclement weather, with the organisers citing safety concerns under Article 66.5 of the National Competition Regulations.

Chager, who leads the championship with a 27-point advantage over Tundo and 33 points over Baryan, is determined to keep notching podium finishes and snatch the coveted title from Tundo.

The fight between Baryan's Skoda Fabia R5 and Tundo's R4 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo10s, as well as Chager's Evo10, is expected to offer spectators exhilarating displays of motoring artistry.

Onkar Singh Rai's new VW Polo R5 is also expected to pose a stiff challenge to the EVOs.

Tundo is hoping to repeat his performance in the Nanyuki Rally, where he dominated the competition.

Chager, meanwhile, is upbeat about his weekend outing, with his team busy preparing the cars for the upcoming event.
